All About My Novel: Zamora
I haven't blogged in a while so i thought i would share my video i made for my YouTube Channel Princess Lyssa. I wrote it down so you can read it as well as watch it!! :) Hope you like it!! :)
The World/Summary: This story takes place in a medieval time like world. And focus's on the four elements fire, water, earth, and air and witches born of those elements. There are also Element Keys which represent and hold most of each elements power. And then there are the Element Hunters, someone who has to collect each key and team up to fight an evil time lord who goes by the name Gowdawin. The story mainly takes place in a land called Corinthia which is split by a forest that holds a secret fairy kingdom. No one from the east can go to the west and no one from the west can go to the east. And each Kingdom is ruled by a set of brother's who, when they were younger had a falling out after their parents died and King Tiberius now rules the Kingdom of Maystones. And his older brother King Jerome rules over their families main kingdom, the Kingdom of Inthia. Their number one rule and the only rule that those two agree on is that magic is not allowed.
The Element Legends: The Legends of the Elements is that after every ten years a new witch is born of the Elements and a set of new Element Hunters is found. Legend has it that the earth choses who it believe deems worthy of its elemental powers. But there is a catch. If all the Elements band together before the Hunters can stop them by steeling their keys (which is most of their powers) then they would be able to control the world. Unless they can be stopped.
Master Azora: Master Azora is an immortal warlock who has dreamed of meeting his grandchildren. And one day his dreams come true, but not in the way that he wanted them too. When his son is killed he is forced to grant his dying son's last wish which is to save his son Griffin Hail's life and daughter Evalyn Hail. But he also has to work on keeping his secret of who he is from both of the king's who he's a healer of. Which will be a whole lot harder to do after breaking Griffin out of the Inthian Prison.
Griffin Hail: An assassin who has been in the Inthian Prison for almost three years and is set to die the day after the book starts. He thought the only way out would be to kill himself, but when he is saved by a stranger and his best friends his whole world changes and his nightmares of possibly losing his family become real after he is set free and thrust into a life he only heard stories about from his father.
Zamora Hail: She is the Witch born of fire. And is the adopted daughter of David and Alice Hail as well as the oldest child in the Hail family. When growing up, Zamora quickly discovered her powers but was forced to stay inside the house by her family for they feared what would happen if anyone found out that they one had a witch for a daughter as well as hiding her. Because of her having to hide inside it drives her up the walls and she has what I like to call episodes of craziness and destruction. She is as mad as the Mad Hatter in other words. One day she realized that the only way to be freed would be to kill her father David. And that's when the story really starts for everyone
Main themes: One theme in this book is 'Being accepted is being freed.' Which goes for every person in this book in some way as well as family being important. This story is very family oriented and it also shows the theme of 'how far are you willing to go for someone you love'.
