Book Review: The Red Pyramid by: Rick Riordan

So for this post I've decided to just write down the synopsis from the back of the book because it's hard describing this book in my own words.

Synopsis for The Red Pyramid

Ever since their mother's death, siblings Carter and Sadie have been near strangers. While Sadie lived with their grandparents in London, Carter has traveled the world with their father, the brilliant Egyptologist Dr. Julius Kane.

Then one night they are reunited when their father takes them to the British Museum, hoping at last to set things right. Instead, he unleashes the Egyptian god Set, who banishes him to oblivion and forces the children to flee for their lives.

Soon, Carter and Sadie discover that the gods of Ancient Egypt are waking, and the worst of the them-Set- is after the Kanes. To stop him, the siblings must embark on a dangerous journey across the globe- a quest that brings them closer to the truth about their family and its link to a secret order that has existed since the time of the pharaohs.

My Thoughts:

So this book I recently finished was AMAZING, although when I started reading it a year ago I put it down for some reason and didn't decided to pick it up until recently. But nonetheless I loved it. It was so action pact, with good family vibes to it. This is also the first book in the Kane Chronicles trilogy and i'm reading the second on Throne of Fire currently. I think this has to be my new favorite series even though I haven't even gotten half way through the second book. I just the Egyptian Mythology and Rick Riordan has some amazing humor and I can tell even though i'm 20 and this is technically a middle grade series, I can tell that he knows how to really connect with his younger audience and the way he writes is just so brilliant I love everything about it. I have not rated this on goodreads yet but when I do i'm giving it a 5 out of 5 stars because again amazing!!!!!!! Go check it out especially if you're really into Egyptian Mythology.
