Beastly by Alex Flinn
This is not a book that came out recently, it came out in 2011 but I still love this book so much and the movie adaptation was alright, it was really good as a movie if you separate it from the book in my opinion.
About:
This is a modern day fairy tale set in New York following Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wish you were. He had the looks, the money, and the life you can only dream of. Kyle had a spell cast on him to turn him into, no not a bear or a gorilla, or even a dog, but to turn him into a strange new creature that walked upright and hid by day and strolled in the streets by night. And he was to stay that way, unless, unless he was to break the spell. The spell was cast on him by a witch in his English class. Why she did that, because well, you will have to read to find that one out on your own.
This book, oh hits me in the feels even when thinking about it because it's so cute. And the movie was really good and the actors did a great job, although they didn't get how he looked when the spell was cast right. That's my only problem with it. But I think this would be the perfect book if your looking for something to read today and it's a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast which is one of my favorite Disney movie's. Aww, even just thinking about this book makes me want to re-read it but I really need to finish all of the other books that I started and have been reading or haven't finished reading. I also gave it 5/5 on Goodreads too. I would definitely recommend this.
